Movement Tutorial & Additions
In todays HELLBOUND update a large portion of the beginning tutorial was complete, this is a full comprehensive movement guide for the game and players will need to complete this before progressing any further, a combat tutorial is also currently in development but is not yet ready.
when a player loads into the tutorial of the game they'll be given a prompt which can be seen below:
This is the very first task of the game and once completed players will be given new tasks, this will repeat until the tutorial is complete, after which players can progress to main game (once main game is added :p), below is a gif to demonstrate what occurs on task completion.
On top of this new tutorial I felt the need to spice up the combat system, i felt that limiting the player to a single weapon just isnt very fun so i added a grenade, with this new damage type comes a slight update to the player UI in the form of a grenade charge meter to track the cool down, which can be seen below:
As for the grenade itself, the player will throw the grenade which will detonate after a couple of seconds, though it does not explode like traditional grenades, instead it will mark all nearby enemies to be struck by a surge of lightning, dealing a flat 20 damage to all afflicted, this can also be seen below:
This surge of lighting is accompanied by a matching sound effect which plays on detonation, to hear what that sound likes you should try the game!
